Our Temple
Temple started on 18th January 2013 (Pran Pratishtha Divas).

First Durga Puja
A historic milestone: the first Durga Puja at Dr. D.N. Guptabhaya's residence, fulfilling a cherished dream and uniting the Bengali community in celebration.
Our Rich History
From 1952 to 2024 - Over 72 years of preserving Bengali culture in Gandhidham
1952 - The Beginning
Bengali families settling in Gandhidham-Kandla after independence organized the first Saraswati Puja at Kandla under the banner "KUTCH PROBASHI BENGALI SAMAJ", which later became "BENGALI ASSOCIATION".
1975 - First Durga Puja
A landmark year! The first Durga Puja was organized at Dr. D.N. Guptabhaya's residence, fulfilling the cherished dream of Bengalis in Kutch. Founding members included Dr. D.N. Guptabhaya, Dr. S.K. Ganguly, Shri P.C. Ghosh, Shri N.C. Chakraborty, Shri S.K. Mukherjee, and Shri R. Dasgupta.
With bare minimum resources, many Bengalis and non-Bengalis contributed to this mammoth effort through great teamwork and coordination.
1975 - Organization Registration
A Socio-Cultural organization registered in the year 1975 to unite, as well as to foster the culture and arts of Bengal. Bengali Association (Kutch), Gandhidham is one of the pioneer Bengali organization in Gujarat and played a pivotal role in the integration of the Bengali community.

1984 - Pandal Revolution
Shri Ashok Rakshit and his team revolutionized mandap making, starting the era of complex and beautiful pandals. The famous CROWN TV Pandal remains iconic.
1985-1987 - Durgabadi Era
Shri K.M. Chakraborty (Secretary) and Shri P.K. Mukherjee (President) led the construction of Durgabadi in 1985. First Durga Puja at Durgabadi was held in 1987.
From 2006, celebrations moved outside, featuring impressive pandals, Kolkata decorations, and famous artists—making it a Grand Celebration for the entire community.
2013 - Kucheshwari Kali Mandir
A permanent Kucheshwari Kali Mandir was established inside the building with daily worship.
2024 - Golden Jubilee
50th year of Durga Puja! Pandal replica of Kedarnath Temple won Best Pandal in Overall Gujarat.
